I feel like masculinity, and this idea of what a man is, has always been a mask anyway. I grew up with a religious background, in a place where the idea of what a man was supposed to be was already pre-dictated for me.
All of the men I knew were playing a role of what they thought a man was supposed to be, but they also had all of these other elements. I know I would. I still have this in the back of my mind.
